This biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan project is a new build project. The client is a local fertilizer processing enterprise in Uzbekistan. It originally had a 10,000 organic fertilizer production line.
Due to the backward technology and equipment, the Uzbek client signed a cooperation agreement with RICHI MACHINERY in November 2023 to eliminate the original production line and build two new fertilizer production lines. It uses livestock and poultry manure, straw and sludge as the main raw materials, and newly installs natural gas boilers to produce 20,000 tons of bio-organic fertilizer annually. The project covers an area of 13333.3m2.
The project added 25 laborers, with an annual production of 300 days, and implemented an 8-hour work system. Employees do not live in the factory area.

The total investment of the biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan project is US$320,000 and covers an area of 13333.3m2. The project will build 2 fertilizer production lines and auxiliary projects, public works, environmental protection projects, etc., install 18 biological organic fertilizer production equipment, and set up production workshops, warehouses, etc. The construction content of the project is shown in the table below.

Organic fertilizer processing process
According to the customer’s raw materials, we customize the organic fertilizer processing flow for this biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan as follows:
- Mixing: Use a compost turner to mix livestock and poultry manure, straw and sludge.
- Fermentation: Ferment the mixed livestock and poultry manure, straw and sludge at room temperature in the fermentation workshop.
- Mixing: Add wood ash and a small amount of water to the fermented material and stir it in a manure mixing machine.
- Screening: The stirred material is transported to the fertilizer screening equipment by a closed conveyor belt for screening, and the large particles are sent back to the fermentation workshop for fermentation, and the small particles are sent to the granulator by a closed conveyor belt for granulation.
- Granulation: Granulate using a manure pelletizer.
- Drying: Dry the material after the granulation process. (About 25% moisture loss)
- Screening: Use a screening machine to screen the dried material, and send the small particles back to the mixer for re-mixing. The biofertilizer pellets that meet the requirements are sent to the workshop by a closed conveyor belt for natural cooling.
- Packaging: Use an automatic fertilizer packaging machine to package the cooled fertilizer pellets.

General layout
The biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan project covers a total area of 13,333.3m2. The project site is flat and the main buildings include offices, workshops, warehouses, etc. The proposed project has a relatively reasonable distribution of the factory buildings based on the project’s geographical location, topography, and meteorological conditions.
- Production area: arranged on the four sides of the factory, including fermentation, mixing, etc.
- Living area: arranged on the northwest side of the factory, including offices, etc.
- Road system planning: Based on the requirements of convenient transportation, the internal roads of the factory are reasonably arranged. In order to facilitate economic exchanges, a shared entrance and exit for personnel and cargo flows is set on the north side of the factory.
The proposed project is clearly divided into different areas, and the overall layout satisfies the smoothness of the process flow, embodies the convenience of material transportation, simplifies the transportation of materials within the plant area, and facilitates production.
After taking effective treatment measures, the production waste gas and equipment operation noise have little impact on the office and living area; therefore, the plant area and equipment layout of this project are very reasonable.

Public works
(1) Water supply:
The water used in this biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan project is mainly domestic water and mixing water, which is provided by the local tap water network.
Mixing water: Based on the analogy of the same industry, the project water consumption is 300m3/a.
Domestic water: The domestic water quota of the project employees is (30~50)L/person·shift, calculated at 50L/person·day, and the project has a staff of 25 people, so the domestic water consumption is 375m3/a.
The factory area has greening, with a greening area of 600m2. Each greening irrigation uses 0.6m3 of water, and irrigation is done once every 2 days, so the greening water consumption is 180m3/a.
Therefore, the annual fresh water consumption of the project is 855m3/a, and the project water is all provided by the local tap water network.
(2) Drainage:
This project has no production wastewater, and the wastewater generated by the project is mainly domestic sewage. The amount of domestic sewage generated is calculated as 80% of the water consumption, which is 300m3/a. It is discharged into the sewage pool and treated uniformly by the sanitation department.
(3) Power supply:
The annual electricity consumption of the biofertilizer manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan project is 130,000 kWh, which is supplied by the local power supply station.
